Law enforcement with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public to be on the lookout for an elderly Timpson man who has been missing since Tuesday morning (9/21)

The man is identified as Bruce Scruggs, he has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.  Scruggs is described as a White male, 85 years old, height 6’01”, and weight  240 pounds.  He has white hair and green eyes.  Authorities believe Scruggs may be wearing a green checkered long sleeve shirt and dark blue pants.

The senior citizen was last seen at 8:00 am on Tuesday, September 21 in the 9600 block of Farm to Market Road 2026  in Timpson, located in Shelby County.  Scruggs was in a Gray, 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with Texas License Plate CHS3569.

Law enforcement officials believe this senior citizen’s disappearance poses a credible threat to their own health and safety. As a result, a Silver Alert has been issued for Bruce Scruggs.

Anyone with any information regarding this missing senior citizen, or if you have seen him or his truck, is asked to contact the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at 936-598-5601.
