Tis the season in East Texas.  Christmas lights are going up, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Pumping Unit is getting geared up and ready to go, the beautiful decorations are something to see on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University...and...IT'S TIME FOR FREE WHATABURGERS!!

Do I have your attention?

Saturday, November 27, from 9 am until noon, drop by the Whataburger at the intersection of Highway 94 and Loop 287.  You'll see representatives from the Marine Corp League, KICKS 105, and Whataburger (maybe even an appearance by What-a-Guy) collecting toys and money for the Toys for Tots Program of Angelina and Trinity Counties.

Just bring a new, unwrapped toy and you'll receive a coupon for a free Whataburger.  If you don't have time to do some toy shopping, bring a $10 donation to get your free Whataburger.  Offer is good for one coupon per person.

The need for toys in our area in 2021 is staggering.  The last few years have been record setting in the amount children hoping for toys, and this year, that need has almost doubled. Nearly 1900 children in the immediate area were supported by the Toys for Tots program  in 2020.  The ongoing pandemic and the economy had led to this recent rise.

If you can't make it buy the Whataburger toy drive on Saturday, there are numerous drop off locations in Angelina and Trinity Counties:
