It's been a while since we've had any kind of 'exciting' weather across the Pineywoods.  That may change come Tuesday.

To be more specific, forecasters are calling for a marginal to slight chance of severe storms erupting across the area Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday night.  In layman's terms that means that a few severe storms will probably pop up across parts of the Brazos Valley and East Texas, but they won't be very widespread.  If and when they do happen, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy downpours should be the main culprits.

The Pineywoods is expected to see rainfall amounts averaging between half an inch to an inch of rain.

Any rainfall will be welcome as most of Deep East Texas is currently classified as being in a moderate to severe drought.
