Nacogdoches Traffic Stop Nets Over One Pound of Cocaine

A Houston man was arrested Sunday afternoon by Nacogdoches County Deputies on felony drug charges.  Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) stopped a blue Ford SUV for a traffic violation on highway 59 North around 2:30 p.m.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as Rosalino Pimentel-Soto, 32. Soto was very nervous and gave conflicting stories about his destination and purpose for his travels. Deputies obtained consent to search the motor vehicle and discovered over a pound of cocaine that was hidden in the dash of the SUV.

Soto was arrested at the scene and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on charges of manufacture of delivery of a controlled substance a 1^st degree felony. An immigration hold was also placed on Soto by the Department of Homeland Security.
