Lufkin PD Find Loaded Gun on Man who Resisted Arrest
Jamarcus Hall, 34, was arrested after fighting with officers who responded to the 1300 block of Nesbitt for a report of an intoxicated man. When an officer arrived, Hall appeared highly intoxicated and unsteady on his feet.
Hall immediately placed his hands in his pockets, despite the officer's orders not to do so. He refused to comply with the officer's requests to turn around, saying that he did not know what "turn around" meant. When the officer attempted to take him into custody on a charge of public intoxication, a struggle ensued in which Hall was Tased multiple times ("drive-stunned," not barbed), but he continued to fight. As additional officers arrived, Hall was eventually taken into custody. In his pockets officers found a loaded pistol and crack cocaine. His behavior led the officers to believe that he was intoxicated on PCP.
