For the second straight year, Nacogdoches Sheet Metal, Plumbing and A/C teamed up with Lennox for the 'Feel the Love' promotion.  East Texans were asked to nominate deserving individuals or families who were in need of a new A/C unit.

This year's winners were Annette and Chuck Stewart of Pollok.  Their son, Chad Stewart, nominated them.  Here are some excerpts from his nomination letter:

My mother has been an “unsung” hero to me my whole life especially when I was in the military stationed in Iraq. I have never felt the love from another person or someone who gives so much to support family and friends more than her. In recent years, my dad has had several heart issues resulting in a triple bypass and forced retirement. Last year, we lost my grandfather.

Since then, she has moved my grandmother into her house because she needs 24/7 care. My mom never asks anyone for anything. She works as a school secretary and with my dad retired, funds are limited for them as most of the money is going to help my grandmother.

A few weeks ago, my mom called me crying and upset because their A/C completely went out. My dad bought a window unit to keep the house cool.  Knowing their situation, I am more than likely going to be replacing the A/C when I’m able to. With that said, I know tons of folks in the area who are in need of the love and support so many can offer especially when it comes to A/C. I don’t know a more deserving couple than my mother and family for this opportunity.

On Friday, October 15, representatives from Nacogdoches Sheet Metal, Plumbing and A/C as well as from Lennox showed up at the Stewart's home in Pollok to install the new unit at no cost to the Stewarts. Chambers BBQ was also on hand to provide meals for all those on hand.

Representatives with Nacogdoches Sheet Metal, Plumbing and A/C said that they are definitely on board to do the promotion again in the Summer of 2022.

Here's a look at some of the photos from the A/C installation:
