Now We Know What’s Going Into The Old Stage Building In Nacogdoches

Recently I was aimlessly wondering what was happening inside the old Stage store in Nacogdoches. Thanks to Corrie McGrath and many others I come to you with good news.

Corrie emailed me with information that was received first hand.  Having the same question, this listener did the right thing and actually asked one of the workers at the site.

Why didn't I think of that? In my defense there was no one in the area when we went by and took pictures.

What Is It Already? 

It's going to be a Big Lots. There is one in Lufkin, and I guess I never really noticed that there wasn't one in Nacogdoches.

This is a great place to get a deal, and find all kinds of things for the house. Everyone in Nacogdoches will really enjoy the fresh new space to shop.

Big Lots was started by Sol Norflus under Consolidated Stores in 1983. There was actually a Big Lots in Nacogdoches years ago, but it closed down. We are glad to see they are back in town. Do you know when they are going to open?
