According to a report from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department, a 37-year-old Nacogdoches man was recently arrested and charged with a series of extremely heinous and disgusting crimes.  These sexual abuse crimes spanned a period over several years.

This release states that Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a man Tuesday on nine sexual abuse of a child charges. Gregorio Hernandez Bautista, 37, of Nacogdoches, was taken into custody after investigators secured warrants for his arrest on eight second-degree felony charges for sexual assault of a child and one first-degree felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The charges were filed after the victim reported the abuse to investigators. The victim said the abuse spanned three years between the time the victim was 12 and 15 years old, beginning in 2016.

“Bautista sexually assaulted her at least twice a month while she was the age of 12 and 13,” according to the warrants filed in his arrest. The assaults increased to “almost every day” from January 2018 through September 2019.

Under the Texas Penal Code, second-degree felonies are punishable by between two and 20 years of incarceration, and/or up to $10,000 in fines. First-degree felonies are punishable by between five and 99 years of incarceration and/or up to $10,000 in fines.

This is the second recent arrest by officials with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) involving a man suspected of felony sexual offense charges.

Logan Rey Torres, 18, of Winnsboro, Texas was recently captured and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, and indecency with a child, a second-degree felony. Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office investigators obtained a warrant for Torres’ arrest after he was indicted on the charges earlier this month in the 145th District Court. He’s accused of assaulting a child under 14 years old in July 2021.
