The Do Dat BBQ is a huge tradition in Nacogdoches. This year the tradition is getting a different location.

The 2021 Do Dat BBQ will be here on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 10am - 6pm. 8 hours of delicious food, and spirited competition.

This will be the first year that the event will not be held at the Nacogdoches County Exposition & Civic Center. The venue has changed for 2021, to the Al Mangham Regional Airport.

Even though it will be in a different place, many of the same great BBQ teams from years past will be in the competition. No matter what, it will be better than last years, as like many events it went virtual.

Results for the Virtual Do Dat were announced on May 3rd, 2020. If you weren't paying attention last year, you can check out their facebook here for all the entries and posts.

Now you know who you will have to beat in 2021 at the airport. It was great to keep the spirit of the Do Dat BBQ alive, but this year, we finally get to do it again in person, though at a different venue.

I think the reason it has been moved, is the realization that the A.L. Mangham Jr. Regional Airport is a great venue, especially during 2020. There were many events held there including Nac At Night Drive In Movies with the Nacogdoches CVB.

There are many events that will be making a come back this year, but the Do Dat BBQ will be among the tastiest. All proceeds benefit the Nacogdoches Area United Way.
