Just a few days ago, we put up a post about some of the most prominent dead-zones in this area. If you don't remember, you can click the link below:

Well, last night while scrolling through Facebook, I came across something that gives me some hope that at least some of our cell phone dead zones might be going away. Someone took this picture on Highway 21 just west of Nacogdoches. This was the first picture:

Now, that picture might be a little hard to make out what I'm talking about, so let me help you a bit. Look at the picture again:

Now, can you see it? That's a brand new tower just outside the city limits. The speculation, at least on social media, is that the tower above is a new AT&T tower. That would mean better cell service, I would hope.

Here's one more picture, so that you can get a better idea of where it's located:

That tower is located where Elmo's Liquor Store used to be on Highway 21 West.

I don't know if you share my opinion on this one, but I wouldn't mind getting some better cell service in and around Nacogdoches. I get pretty frustrated with dropped calls. If this means cutting down on the number of those, then I'm definitely in.

Have any of seen this tower going up? What about other locations? Are there more towers going up around Nac? Let us know in the comment section below!
