With unemployment over 9 percent, most people who're working these days are just grateful they have a job.  A job, any job, even one you hate, is better than having no job and depending on welfare.  Or is it?

Speaking of "hated jobs", you may be surprised to know that list includes some of the best-paying jobs in the country.  It's true. Read on.

The reasons for job dissatisfaction vary. Low pay and irregular hours are the usual suspects, but you may be surprised to know that they're not the leading factors that make people dread going to work every day.

CareerBliss is an online resource that bases job satisfaction on multiple factors, including workplace culture, coworkers, and the boss.

According a recent survey of hundreds of thousands of employees, CareerBliss determined the 10 most hated jobs, rated on a scale of 1 to 10.

In almost every case, respondents said the factors causing the most job dissatisfaction are not lousy pay or a desk near the bathroom door. The survey found limited growth opportunities and lack of reward cause more misery at work than anything else.

Read about the 10 jobs with the highest levels of employee unhappiness. The results may surprise you.

This survey re-enforces our belief that, paraphrasing an old Barbra Streisand song,  people who love their jobs, and can't wait to get to work every day, are the luckiest people in the world.
