Riders Drawn for the Angelina County Benefit Rodeo Mutton Bustin’

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo gets kicked off Wednesday night (4/20) at the George H. Henderson Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.  Gates will open at 6 and the show gets underway at 7 p.m.

Of course, you can expect to see great matchups featuring some of the top cowboys and cowgirls in the country.  Bobby Kerr's Mustang Act is one of the best specialty acts you'll ever see and former barrel man of the year Keith Isley will be at the rodeo this year.

One of the most entertaining features every year at the Angelina Benefit Rodeo is the mutton bustin' competition.  Every night, 12 young cowboys and cowgirls try to ride a sheep for as long as they can.  The top point-getter each night wins a championship trophy.  The rider chosen signed up at either Boot Barn in Lufkin or on the KICKS 105 App.
