The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office is hosting a fundraising lunch on Friday, October 12, from 11am - 2pm, on the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office front lawn. The fundraiser is for 10 year old Kaedyn Nelson. She is known by all her family and friends as KK. She has recently been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer. The fundraiser is to support her upcoming 6 month treatment in Houston to beat this disease.

This is a cause near and dear to all of the officers hearts. They have pulled out all the stops to help this family. Kaedyn goes to Woden ISD, and is currently in the 4th grade. The Sheriff's office hopes for everyone to come together to support Kaedyn. Smokehouse restaurant owner Heath Clement graciously donated 100 pounds of meat for the event.

They will be selling pulled pork sandwiches, beans, potato salad and dessert. All this from a tent on the front lawn at the Sheriff's office. The goal is to sell 500 tickets to the lunch, and lift at least one burden off this family. They will be giving away a BBQ pit that was donated by Lowe's. The pit will be on display at the Pineywoods Fair coming up a the Nacogdoches County Expo Center.
