Condom Sales Soaring As People Are Getting Frisky Post-Pandemic
As people get vaccinated and start attending in-person events more often, looks like many are looking for love or at least a one-night-stand post-pandemic.
One year ago, the world was on lockdown and was precariously opening up bit by bit only to shut down again when there was a rise in covid cases in the area. Now thanks to vaccination efforts in different countries around the world, we're seeing more and more people being vaccinated and resuming their daily lives.
Since people are willing to finally venture out of their homes for spring and summertime activities, there have been certain items that people are starting to buy more. We've heard the sales of clothing, sporting equipment, and restaurant dining are up per NPR.
Now, there's another item that is seeing a surge in sales post-pandemic and we're just thankful that means people are being safe while having a good time. Condom sales are up more than 23 percent from mid-March to mid-April according to CNN. That's quite a change from 2020 condoms sales that were actually down 4 percent.
It's good news for those who are single and finally ready to mingle in person again. At least you know you're not the only one looking to get frisky, but keep it safe at the same time. And you can keep your mask on or off, depending on what you're into.
