A dog's fur isn't always enough to keep them warm and cozy. Being a big person, I need a big blanket, just like our large four-legged friends at the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter.

Not only do the blankets provide warmth for these pooches, but they also give them a sense of security. That is a big deal when they have already been through so much and landed in the shelter.

Not all dogs are the same and there isn't a one size fits all blanket rule. A dogs needs change over time due to age and the season.

Large Blankets For Large Dogs In Demand 

The Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter needs large blankets for large dogs. They have a good supply for the smaller dogs, and now they are asking for help with the larger variety.

If you have any big blankets, quilts, comforters that you no longer need this could be a great way to repurpose them. Anything that goes on a human-sized bed could fill the need.
