Texas Largest Floating Water Park Opens This Weekend
This is part of our series of stories to help you plan your weekend getaways in and around Texas. Taking full advantage of our central location in East Texas, just a tank of gas can get you a lot of different places. Grapevine is less than 200 miles away. I could get there and back on just one tank of gas, even in my truck.
I am sure you have heard of Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, this is a huge attraction for this area outside of Dallas. But this has nothing to do with that. I have never heard of a floating water park till just now. Apparently this is the first one in North Texas, and it's called Altitude H2O. I took my son to the Altitude Trampoline Park in Austin, and this is the same company.
There was a soft opening this past weekend, but now it's official and ready for the public. It's located on Grapevine Lake in Meadowmere Park. This huge 25,000 square foot faculty, is completely inflatable. Everything from the monkey bars to the lifeguards tower. They have slides, an obstacle course, and trampolines. If you are looking to impress the kids, splash out on some tickets and check out this new place soon.
