Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel had a great 2012 season, and earned high praise for protecting star quarterback Johnny Manziel's blind side.

Some project that Joeckel could be taken by the Kansas City Chiefs, with the number one overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, which starts Thursday in New York.

As we know from watching games - and if not that then we know it from the Sandra Bullock movie, The Blind Side - a team can't win without a big brick house of a guy protecting the quarterback's back.  That's Joeckel's specialty, and it's already won him the Outland trophy, the most prestigious award an offensive lineman can earn.  And it's going to earn him a job in the NFL, it's just a matter of waiting to see which team takes him on Thursday night.

Then next season, we'll have to see if Heisman Winner, Johnny Manziel, is just as good without his best blocker.
