Here we go again with the crazy candy choices topping the list. Just when we had come to grips with Texans choosing a non-chocolate Halloween candy as their favorite, more sweet-toothed neighbors of ours have weighed in and chosen a favorite seasonal candy that doesn't melt in our mouths. Bah humbug! See if you love this choice.

We love a holiday based on food. Texas is celebrating the greatness of chicken fried steak today (Thursday, October 26th), and that makes us wonder where you're gettin' yours. Some of these places serve up chicken fried steaks that are bigger than our heads!

It turns out, not everyone appreciates a guy in a Santa suit passing out candy to kids.  Six Flags over Texas told Santa he had to go! Hopefully this was not the real Santa, and just a look-alike.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...and it's the busiest time of the year for the local Marine Reserves and the Toys for Tots program.
