One of the things I really missed during the pandemic was all of the great Christmas events in Nacogdoches. The Nacogdoches United Way and its volunteers are working hard to make the Lighted Christmas Parade happen again.

This year's theme is "Rocking Down The Brick Streets". Christmas is the best season to visit downtown Nacogdoches. It will hopefully be the perfect night to line the downtown streets to see the floats go by.

The parade is Saturday, December 4th, 2021 starting at 6:30 pm sharp. They will run the usual route all lit up down Main and Hospital Streets.

Be In The Parade

If you have a business or civic organization that would like to be in the parade they are now taking entries just Click Here. They even have tips on decorating your float on the entry form.

Here are some of the rules that you must adhere to. There is a limit of five vehicles per group.

I've driven in this parade before and they are all about you having a fire extinguisher on your float.

If you don't you will not be allowed to participate. You must have one that the driver can access and one for every generator.

Questions?

There are a lot of things that have to happen for the parade to go smoothly. There are many resources that you can use to find answers to a specific question.

Email christmasparadenac@outlook.com to get those answers. Mary Littleton has been one of the main coordinators for the parade for the past five years.
