Screen Geeks Wants To Give East Texans A Chance To Give To The Charity Of Their Choice
The owners of Screen Geeks in Lufkin recently posted something interesting to the Deep East Texas Classifieds page they manage. They know they want to give back to the community, but they are giving all the deciding power to the community as well.
I say we put Matt's nerves to ease and give him and his wife Kristen a collective round of applause. Kristen Davis had this to say;
We're giving the community a chance to help us give back by voting for what charity we'll be giving to. They can go on Facebook to the "Deep East Texas Classifieds" group and join if necessary."
All the details of the charity vote will be at that page so we've provided several links all leading to that one page, where the charity post will be pinned to the top for easy spotting.
Once you're on the DETC page, all you'll have to do to cast your vote is comment the post with your nomination. If you see YOUR charity has already been posted, give the comment a like. Then shout out that charity again if you feel like it. We'll tally the votes on Friday, August 21st and announce the deserving charity.
