NASA is preparing to launch an Antares rocket with a Cygnus spacecraft on top to the International Space Station at approximately 9:50 central time this morning.

The new Cygnus spacecraft will launch on top of an Antares rocket from Wallops Island in Virginia. The Cygnus is a new remote-controlled spacecraft that will be used for transporting supplies and spare parts up to the Space Station. It will be controlled by scientists in Houston, until it gets near the Space Station, when an astronaut on board will take over control for docking.

It's always exciting to see a rocket launch, and it looks like it's going to be a good one in Virginia!
