When you think of things that might be polar opposites, libraries and Nerf battles should be on that list. I mean, libraries are quiet. Nerf battles are not. Libraries are places for reflection. Nerf battles are places for losing your mind. You get the idea.

However, the Nacogdoches Public Library is bringing these two things together. They're bringing the intensity of Nerf battles into the serenity of the library. Yes, I'm being serious right now.

On December 6th, the library will be hosting what they're calling the "Nerf Battle In The Stacks". Basically, they're inviting you to bring your Nerf weapons and ammo, and participate in an all-out battle in the library stacks. I don't know about you, but I'm thinking this could be an awesome event.

It all starts at 5:30 PM on December 6th at the library. It's free to attend, but you have to register for the event before that day. The Nerf battle will go from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Also, keep this in mind, it's only for people ages 10 to 19. Yes, that means that I'm now disqualified...sad day.

All the information can be found on the Nacogdoches Public Library Facebook page, and you can register for the event on Eventbrite. Even though I can't go - darn it for age restrictions - I still think that this sounds like pretty cool event.

So, get your Nerf gun, get your ammo, and head to the library! (Never thought I'd be saying a phrase like that before, but it's whatever...)
