Mom’s Diner to donate 100% of Sales to Help Girl Battling Cancer
Eating a delicious hamburger from Mom's Diner in Lufkin is very satisfying. It will be even more so if you go by and enjoy lunch or dinner there Saturday, April 10.
From 11 am until 8 pm, 100% of the total sales of the day will go donated to the family of Jaselynn Kornegay. The 7-year-old girl from Pollok was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently undergoing treatments and chemotherapy at a hospital in Dallas. Updates on Jaselynn's journey in this battle are frequently posted at the Jesus&J {Our Fight with Leukemia} Facebook Page.
Mom's Diner, located at 420 West Frank Street in Lufkin, is hoping for a huge turn out to help offset the many medical expenses Jaselynn's family is facing. Several other businesses have stepped up to help with the event including Dean's Meat Company in Huntington, Lufkin Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Terrell Insurance Agency, S&W Expert Collision Repair, James Mann with Flowers Bread Company and Tejas Paper and Chemical Company.
Mom's Diner, which has been serving the area since 1986, will have the full menu available for the event. So, whether you're hungry for a Mom's Monster, onion rings, or their vast array of sandwiches, keep in mind that 100% of everything that you spend will be going to help the treatments for Jaselynn.
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is one of the most common forms of childhood cancer. To anyone who has ever donated to our annual KICKS 105 St. Jude Radiothon, keep in mind that your dollars are also helping to develop protocols to treat A.L.L.
