Make Your Community Safer With National Night Out Tonight In Texas

You have control of certain things in your life in regards to your safety. Knowing your neighbors is a great way to gain security where you live.

You can help reduce the amount of crime and violence in your neighborhood with the National Night Out tonight. This event gives you a chance at a personal relationship with the people that have been sworn to protect you.

There is most likely more than one National Night Out scheduled is your area. I found a local event in Nacogdoches, Texas tonight.

How Can I Celebrate? 

Join the Nacogdoches Public Libary with the Nacogdoches Police Department as they have their National Night Out. Community building is what it's all about.

Get out there and make some new friends in the neighborhood. Get to know your neighbors through games, crafts, and snacks. If you live in these neighborhoods there are events planned near you. 

The event  from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Nacogdoches Public Library, is for anyone that doesn't have an event in their neighborhood. It's located at 1112 North Street in Nacogdoches. If your safety is important to you, this is the block party you want to attend. Residents of all ages are invited to the celebration.

Other Ways To Participate 

If your city or town is not having a get-together due to coronavirus concerns, you could still do something to make your participation known. You could replace your porch light with a blue bulb.

You could also decorate your lawn with crime prevention posters or signs in support of National Night Out. Just a small gesture that you are interested in making your community a safer, more caring place to live.

The first Tuesday in October is National Night Out in Texas.
