Lots of Fun Things for Kids This Summer
Summer vacation is coming up fast, and many parents are looking for ways to keep their kids busy and having summer fun at the same time. The good news is that there are plenty of fun things for kids to do and places for them to go in the summer time. The bad news? Rest easy. There's no bad news.
A group of local business people, public officials and educators that's known collectively as the Angelina Coalition is promoting five pages - count'em, FIVE PAGES of summer camps and programs just for kids and teenagers.
The Coalition website says their not so secret ulterior motive is the steer kids away from drugs by providing safer and more productive ways for them to spend their time. You know what they say about idle minds and the devil's workshop.
