Join The Lufkin Community For A Butterfly Release

A special event is approaching, and  it's got our stomachs all aflutter.

On September 16th, 2017, there will be fun, family friendly event that will highlight local organizations who assist children who are victims of abuse, or neglect in Angelina county.

And while the event is free, the butterflies to be released must be purchased in advance.

I think it will be quite a sight to see all those butterflies released at once, but for those craving a bit more, there will also be food vendors, face painting, and much more for the family to enjoy.

The butterflies  will be released at the end of the event 7 PM to honor those who have been affected by child abuse.
