Garfield The Cat Turns 41 Today!

Growing up, you could almost always find me with a comic book of some sort in hand. My favorites were Calvin & Hobbes, Pearls Before Swine, Zits, Peanuts, and of course, Garfield.

Well, it just so happens that one of the characters from one of my favorite comics is celebrating a birthday. The lasagna-king himself, Garfield, is turning 41 today. It even made it onto Facebook today! Here's the official post:

A cake the size of Rhode Island? Well, we might have to do some research to find one, but for Garfield, I bet we can make it happen. After all, 41 years of bringing laughs to the newspaper comics, inspiring animated AND live-action movies, stuffed animals, etc. is definitely deserving of a cake that big, right?
