As of the last update provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services (1/3), over 15,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been distributed to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and facilities throughout our Deep East Texas area. Front-line health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities are the highest priority in receiving the vaccines, followed by those above the age of 65 and those most vulnerable to the effects of the virus.
