Winner Announced in Nacogdoches Girl Scout Cookie Cram

How many Girl Scout cookies could you eat in 60 seconds?  Last night's champ of the Girl Scout Cookie Cram in Nacogdoches managed to eat 14 Shortbread cookies in a minute.  Last year's winner ate 12 Thin Mints in that amount of time.KTRE says those who took part in the Cookie Cram included Sheriff Jason Bridges; Nacogdoches County United Way CEO Gary Lee Ashcraft; Nacogdoches Police PIO, Greg Sowell; 3 Nacogdoches firemen; and Jeff Davis from SFA Alumni.

The winner was Gary Lee Ashcraft with 14 shortbread cookies.

It is still Girl Scout Cookie season, meaning you can buy them from a Scout, or find them at a booth this week.  On Friday, the Scouts will be selling cookies at Brookshire Brothers Fresh Market on Chestnut Street in Lufkin from 4 to 8pm, and they'll be back at the location Saturday from Noon to 2pm.  You can also find the cookies Friday from 4 to 6pm at Shoe Carnival on South Medford Drive in Lufkin, and the H-E-B on North Timberland Drive.
