In early 2017, if all goes well, the South Nacogdoches Highway 59 construction project should be completed.  As you drive through that area just south of Loop 224, it's hard to envision exactly what the finished product will look like.

When we see the orange traffic cones go up, we know they'll slow us down and life might be easier, quicker, and smoother without them there.  But it's always worth it in the end. The state of Texas has announced work is planned on County Road 706 in Nacogdoches County.

Construction will take a little over two years, but once it's finished, driving on Highway 59 near FM 2021 will get a lot easier.
