The property is owned by local doctors, Rebekah and Joseph Koch. The Walker House was built around 1895 and was renovated by the Koch family in 2019.

Their vision to remodel and restore the home to its former glory was such a success that they earned an award from Angelina Beautiful/Clean. Their work to preserve the house and keep the original features really makes it stand out.

I stayed in many Airbnb properties, especially during the pandemic. Instead of just staying in them, the Koch family renovated a local home and turned it into an award-winning property.

Dr. J. Koch is actually my doctor, and this was a great reminder that I most likely need to set up a check-up appointment. Dr. R. Koch is a local psychiatrist and though I have never been in to see her, I hear amazing things.

I am glad to see that all of their hard work has paid off. They have preserved a great piece of our community’s history.
