
School Shooting in Washington State Leaves 6 Injured
UPDATE 3:00PM CT: Two people are dead, including the shooter, and four are injured, including three critically following today's school shooting in Marysville, Washington.
UPDATE 1:50PM CT: Reports from The Seattle Times indicate that seven people may have been injured and the shooter is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At least six people were injured this morning, just before 11:00AM Pacific time, when a shooter entered Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington, a town about 35 miles north of Seattle.
Initial reports came in from Twitter, and seemed to indicate that the shooter was a student at the school:
The school was put into lockdown at around 10:45AM Pacific time, and police were seen escorting students away from the building just a few minutes later.
The status of the shooter is not known at this time.
