Pepsi & Peeps Hook Up for New Drink, Find out How to Win a 3-Pack

Spring has sprung and Easter is just around the corner.  The weather is getting warmer, pollen is in the air, and the vibrant colors are popping out.  You know the colors, neon pink, neon yellow, and neon powder blue.

Yes, take a quick trip down any candy aisle of your local grocery store or pharmacy, and you'll feel the sugary stare of Marshmallow Peeps.  I know there are quite a few folks that aren't too keen on the flavor of Peeps, but, I've never turned down the offer of one.  Yes, I like sugar, but eating a Peep goes beyond that.  It's like eating a sugar-laden stress ball.  There is a certain amount of stress relief that comes from squeezing a stress ball.  But, eating a stress ball, that's the ticket to exponentially decreasing the tensions of the day.  Who cares if that stress ball contains enough sugar to counteract the strain relief and puts you right back into hyper-squirrel mode.

So, I must admit that I have some reservations about the just-released details of a new drink.  Pepsi has partnered with the world of Peeps to introduce a new drink, just in time for Spring and Easter.  According to the Pepsico website, PEPSI x PEEPS is "a delicious new beverage that combines the crisp, refreshing taste of PEPSI cola with the pillowy-soft and sweet PEEPS® Marshmallow flavor consumers love."

I don't know about this.  Have you ever drunk something immediately after eating something that had loads of sugar in it? Take a drink of a cola or even sweet tea after scarfing down a handful of candy corn and it makes it seem like a diet tasting drink.  But, that's why the chemists get paid the big bucks.  I'm sure that they have found a way to make Peeps and Pepsi harmoniously flavorful.

Even the packaging looks like it belongs in the candy aisle.

But, unfortunately, you won't find it in any aisle, as for now.  The only way that you can get your hands on a limited edition 3-pack of PEPSI x PEEPS  is to enter their sweepstakes.  Pepsi and Peeps fans are being asked to show the world how they're enjoying their favorite springtime activities – in a safe, socially distant manner – through the #HangingWithMyPEEPS sweepstakes. Fans can submit photos of themselves enjoying the spring with PEEPS Marshmallow Chicks and Bunnies by tagging @PEPSI, #HangingWithMyPEEPS and #PepsiSweepstakes on Twitter and Instagram.

I couldn't locate any information on just how many 3-packs they plan to give away, but 10 grand prizes will be awarded.  If you're so lucky as to win, please let me know what you think about the flavor.  Please wash your hands thoroughly before tapping on your keyboard though, anytime you deal with Peeps in any form, your fingers will be sticky.
