Time to upgrade that data package with your mobile phone!

Did you know according to a study by One Poll/Life 360 it says that American families exchange an average of 10,384 text messages a year?

I find that number interesting because I never thought to tally up the amount of times I text friends and family especially my daily dialogue with my own kids.

However, when it comes to texting my children I usually ask certain questions that require a direct answer and this question is popular among other parents.

According to the New York Post, parents text their kids "Where are you?" more than 900 times a year.

The study also showed that parents text "When will you be home?" an average of 1,018 times and "I love you" on an average of 1,186 times.

With today's age of parenting some would find it difficult from back in the day.

That's why Life 360 is a tool to help parents keep a virtual eye on their kids.

Chril Hulls, who is the co-founder and CEO of Life 360 talks about what their service provide.

With services like location sharing, smart notifications, and safe driving features, parents can rest a little easier knowing we are there for them when their kids want to walk to school with their friends for the first time or when they have a new driver in the house.

How often do you text your kids?  Let us know in the comments.
