Mardi Gras Celebration At Local Brewery
We don't get a lot of 'Laissez les bons temps rouler' action here in Deep East Texas. It's mostly a Louisiana thing. Fredonia Brewery in Downtown Nacogdoches has plans to change all that. They are putting together quite the event for your Mardi krewe on Saturday February 13th, 2021 from 12n-10pm. They are calling it Beads & Brews.
They will be debuting their Limited Release Mardi Gras King Cake Cream Ale beer during the event. They also invited their friends to make sure you were well fed. Chambers BBQ will be there serving up Boudin. If beignets are your personal favorite Merci's World Cuisine will have plenty. Rebellion Pizza will even be serving up some Crawfish Pizza. That sure is going to be an interesting dinner.
The Sabine River Brass Band will be there providing the music, and they are a great fit for an event like this. This group will be fun to watch, and is a novel idea for our town. New Orleans style music is really hard to find here in Deep East Texas. Tuba to trombone, they are authentic as they come, and will be a welcome addition to the Mardi Gras celebration there.
Mardi Gras at Fredeauxnia Brewery, wait did I misspell that? They might have to change the spelling of their name for this one night. Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday is celebrated in towns all around Texas. Glad we can now add Nacogdoches to the list, even though it's not actually on Fat Tuesday. I think we can get a pass for that.
