The Texas Forestry Museum is welcoming everyone aboard the "Santa Clause Express Drive-Thru" This is their annual Christmas event, and this year they have converted it into a Drive-Thru event. Families will stay in their vehicles and travel though the event.

Children will get to enjoy holiday games, cookies, and lots more. It  will be Saturday, November 28th from 5pm till 7pm at the museum. Santa Clause will make an appearance for a socially distant picture with the kids. It will for sure be a reminder of our lives during the pandemic.

The Museum itself is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin,Texas. The Texas Forestry Museum is home to the story of the Forests of Texas.  It's next door to the Texas Forestry Association and near Loop 287 in Lufkin.

If you have never been to the museum, once all this is over, I would make it a priory. The timber industry is the reason we are all here. This was nothing but pine trees as far as you could see till someone started cutting them down. It's a part of the fabric of the community, and the museums Jack McMullen Library has tons of books about how it all came to be. I am glad they are here to preserve the history of our area.
