Here are the Mutton Busters Drawn for the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show is coming up March 24-26 at the Nacogdoches Expo Center.  Each night beginning at 7 p.m., fifteen youngsters between the ages of 3-7 will be trying their hand at riding sheep in the mutton bustin' competition presented by KICKS 105 and Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative.

Since the beginning of the month, registrations have been taken at Boot Barn for the opportunity to ride.  A total of 45 youngsters were drawn to ride this year, that's 15 more than last year. Still, with over 100 registrants, that, unfortunately, means that quite a few young cowboys and cowgirls will not get their shot to ride.

Here are the 45 kids drawn for mutton bustin'.  Instructions follow the list, but we will also be calling each parent(s) to verify the kids are still willing to ride.  Switching dates is not allowed.

• If chosen, the child will need to show up at the Expo Center on their designated night between 6-6:40 to sign in.  Any child not signed in by 6:45 will forfeit their spot.
• Protective headgear and riding vest will be provided for all riders.
• The child riding will be given free admission to the rodeo.  All others accompanying the rider will need their own ticket for the event.  You can purchase your tickets online here.
• A release of liability must be signed by the parent/guardian of all riders.
