East Texas Softball Playoffs! Here’s the Schedule for Area Teams

The last few weeks of school before the Summer break can be quite chaotic, especially for those involved in UIL sports.  It's playoff time for baseball and softball, and the road to the state track & field meet is going on. This is crazy enough but some high school athletes have their proms going on as well as getting ready for graduation.

In softball, we are now into the Area Round (2nd round) of the playoffs.  Here's a look at the schedule for teams from across the Pineywoods.

Class 4A

Jasper vs Salado (Best two out of three, All games at Madisonville HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m.
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at noon
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7, 30 minutes after game two

Class 3A

Huntington vs East Bernard (Best two out of three, All games at Splendora HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m.
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at noon
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7, 30 minutes after game two

Woodville vs Boling (Best two out of three, all games at C.E. King HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at 1 p.m.
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7, 30 minutes after game two

Diboll vs Danbury (one game play-off at Grand Oaks HS)

• Friday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Class 2A

Groveton vs Deweyville (Best two out of three, all games at Jasper HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 5 pm
• Second Game - Friday, May 6, following first game
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7, noon

West Sabine vs Timpson (Best two out of three)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at West Sabine
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Timpson
• Third game (if necessary) - TBD

Woden vs Beckville - (Best two out of three, all games at Shelbyville HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m.
• Second Game - 30 minutes following first game
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7 at 12:30 p.m.

Lovelady vs Colmesneil (Best two out of three, all games at Lufkin HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at noon
• Third game (if necessary) - Saturday, May 7, 30 minutes after game two

Latexo vs Mason (one game play-off, 12 noon, Saturday at Lake Belton HS)

Class A

Wells vs Chireno (Best two out of three, all games at Nacogdoches HS)

• First Game - Friday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.
• Second Game - Saturday, May 7 at noon

Chester vs Kennard (one game play-off at Chester HS)
