Want to show your kids where 'Stranger Things' got a lot of its inspiration? How about just getting into the Halloween spirit with a classic?

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is at the Pines theater Friday October 11th, 2019. There have been lots of reasons to get out to the Pines in 2019. When I saw that they were showing E.T. I got super excited. I remember watching it when I was still in elementary school. I don't know why anyone thought that was a kids movie.

Join us at The Pines for a $5 movie!
After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas). Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie (Drew Barrymore), and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.

The Pines is always showing great movies, and they prices are very reasonable. I love the historical movie theater, and it shows that Lufkin has had a love for cinema for a very long time. I think it's time we all phoned home, instead of just phoning it in..
