Yes he did.  In an interview on MSNBC, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry said the news media has a responsibility to not give equal time to views and opinions that "everybody knows are not factual."

Kerry didn't mention the Tea Party by name, but in the context of the interview about the recent bitter debate over the national debt ceiling and potential default, it's clear that's who he is talking about.  Here's a link to the clip:

Kerry’s disdain for the Tea Party is well known. In a recent op-ed article in his hometown newspaper, the Boston Herald, columnist Holly Robichaux wrote:

"Looking down his nose, the country’s richest senator criticized “these people, many who have not served in public life” for wanting a balanced budget amendment.

That’s priceless, considering that the Senate has not passed a budget in more than 800 days."
