A Charlotte couple is suing Air Tran Airways, claiming their flight had cockroaches coming out of air vents and storage areas and that flight attendants ignored their concerns.

Attorney Harry Marsh and his fiancé Kaitlin Rush have thrown the book at Air Tran.  Their lawsuit alleges negligence and recklessness, intentional infliction of emotional distress, nuisance, fraud, false imprisonment and unfair and deceptive trade practices -- all on one flight from Charlotte to Houston.

Marsh and Rush say cockroaches came out of air vents and carry-on compartments shortly after takeoff.  The lawsuit also claims flight attendants were too busy to investigate the problem or believe the problem even existed.

The suit claims the cockroaches made them ill and his fiance now refuses to fly anymore.

They're suing for more than $100,000 plus the price of their tickets.

Air Tran denies several of the allegations.  A spokesman says the cleanliness of their equipment is very important and their planes are regularly and professionally treated for bugs.

Wouldn't you know it would be a lawyer filing a lawsuit like this.
