Hershey's has picked a few states to highlight with its new PayDay candy bars, and Texas is one of them.  Can you mix caramel and barbecue flavor and be happy about it?  This may be the best thing ever, or the worst.

The new Texas-flavored creation by PayDay is one of six new candy bars that highlight the best or most distinct flavors in each state, and the choice for Texas includes barbecue.  Of course it does.  Some of us put barbecue sauce on everything except cereal and we're okay with it, and it's nice to see a chocolate company come around and realize that we are geniuses.  The Flavor of Texas BBQ Payday Bar has barbecue-coated peanuts inside, mixed in with the caramel ribbons.  With 230 calories worth of sugar and protein, it might be your new favorite energy bar.

We like our barbecue sauce sweet in Texas anyway, don't we? Some states can get a little vinegary with their sauce, but Texas seems to prefer it on the thick and sweet side, and that might be just the thing a candy bar has been missing all these years.

Here are the other states that get a little love from Hershey's:

Florida’s Twizzler Key Lime Pie Flavored Twists

Hawaii’s Hershey’s Kisses Coconut Almond Flavored Candies

California's Kit Kat Strawberry Flavored Candy

Georgia's Honey Roasted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

New York's  Cherry Cheesecake Hershey's Bar

They're all out in stores now, so if you try them let us know what you think.

All of those candy bar creations sound delicious, as long as they're covered in barbecue sauce.
