If you're in the mood for a road trip, Mud Nationals will kick off tomorrow in Jacksonville, and it's not too late to reserve a camping spot to hang out through the weekend.

This bit of dirty fun may erase whatever is stressing you out right now and solve all of your problems.  You can't possibly have worries when you're spinning up loads of mud on a tricked out ATV, right?  Or watching it with a beverage in hand. Seriously.

The High Lifter ATV Mud Nationals will get started tomorrow, March 21, in Jacksonville, and they'll run through Sunday, March 25.

If you want to set up camp, the gates are open now but you'll have to pay an early bird fee for the extra day.  You an also set up a tent or an RV anytime after 8am tomorrow and that will cost you $75 per person for festival admission through the weekend with kids 6 and under free.  There's a $30 fee for campers with no hookups.

Throughout the five-day event they'll have a bunch of fun things in addition to the muddin', like a Poker Run on Thursday at 5pm, an Extreme Outlaw Concert Series with different artists performing each night, including Curtis Grimes on Friday and The Lacs on Saturday night.

It's one of those good ole Texas festivals that might smell like barbecue and beer and engine exhaust, and we won't mind a bit.  Oh, and pizza and nachos and tacos and maybe a turkey leg.  Vendors will be set up through the weekend with all that good Texas festival food.

The muddin' events get underway on Thursday, with several competitions on Friday and Saturday too.  Click HERE for the schedule of events. And once you're inspired to try it yourself after watching the competition all weekend, they'll have open riding on Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

It's all happening at Mud Creek Off-Road Park -- 3971 Co Rd 4209, Jacksonville, TX 75766.

Spring is here, and we're ready to kick off the Texas festival season.  Stay tuned for more.
