Baseball Player is Recovering After Taking Fastball To The Face
Batters wear helmets to protect their heads, but this pitch hit the cheek instead.
Corpus Christi Hooks player Delino Deshields Jr. was hit in the face by a 90-mile-per-hour pitch over the weekend in a game against the Frisco Roughriders, just north of Dallas.
Even the Today Show has been talking about it. Ouch!
Deshields was a first round pick of the Houston Astros. We hope he recovers and makes it all the way to the majors soon.
