Your Disney Plus Password May Have Been Sold on the Dark Web
If you recently became one of the 10 million-plus Disney Plus subscribers, you may want to change your account password immediately.
November 12, 2019, is a day that went down in history as the launch of the long-awaited Disney Plus streaming service. I was one of those happy customers who plunked down the $69.99 annual fee to enjoy endless access to my favorite classic Disney movies and cartoons.
A recent report says that a bundle of Disney+ accounts have been hacked (CBS19 News). Your account password may be on the list of those that were allegedly sold in a hacking group on the Dark Web for as little as $3, according to ZDNet.com. Some subscribers have reported that their accounts appear to be hacked.
The mere thought of someone else sneaking around behind my back and enjoying the fruits of my hard-earned money just ticks me off, so I changed my password as soon as I read about this.
It is best to change your Disney Plus password now, just to be on the safe side.
