Now that Texas A&M is moving to the Southeastern Conference, school officials are looking to upgrade the athletic program to make Aggie sports competitive with the athletic powerhouses in their new conference.  This could mean replacing historic Kyle Field.

Kyle Field now has more than 83 thousand seats, but school officials say more are needed, because their upcoming move to the SEC has created an unprecedented demand for football season tickets.

So, they've hired a world famous stadium construction company to study the situation, and the result might be an overhaul of Kyle Field-- or even a new stadium.

A news release says the contractor "will explore various design options for Kyle Field, including plans for both a renovated stadium and a new stadium."

Kyle Field has been expanded a number of times over many decades, and today it is one of the most revered, most beautiful and most modern football stadiums in the country.  For a school as devoted to "tradition" as A&M is, it's hard to believe they would even consider replacing it.  What do you think?
