This Basketball Player Isn’t The Best At Math, And Here’s Some Proof

We've all been there. You go to a restaurant, you get done with your meal, beverages, whatever, and then it's time for the tip. You sit there thinking about how good the service was, which in turn makes you question how good of tip you'll leave. Apparently, one NBA star didn't think much of his service...

Andre Roberson is a basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who just signed a 3-year, $30 million contract to stay with the Thunder. That's a three, followed by seven zeros. I probably won't make that much money IN MY LIFETIME.

The same day he signed his contract, he racked up a bill at a restaurant for $487.13. So now, he's accomplished two feats - in one day - that I don't see myself EVER doing. He's signed up to make $30 million AND he's spent $500 in a restaurant.

So then, he proceeds to do what I started with...he considers how much to tip. The number that he comes up with, and writes down? $13.97. This all adds up to his grand total of...$500.00...?

Yes, I realized that his tip wasn't exactly 10% of the bill...actually, this tip was closer to 3%...however, the funniest thing to me about the bill is that Roberson's math was "$487.13 + $13.97 = $500.00". So, instead of the $500.10 that I calculated when I did the math, apparently his math caused it to be $500 even. His reason for the low tip? Poor service. I would've guessed poor math skills...
