The Blueberry Festival Will Start With A Bluegrass Beginning
The Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches starts in early June, but they've already got the first portion planned out.
Musical acts such as The Purple Hulls, The Baker Family, The Blake Brothers, and The Sabine River Bend Band will be performing on Friday, June 9th to get everyone in the spirit of the blueberry-filled weekend.
Most of these acts are pretty local to our area, which is a great way to celebrate a down home festival in the oldest town in Texas.
Just like every year, the festival will have something fun for everyone, to include good food, live music, and plenty to see out at Festival Plaza in Nac.
The evening will start with a performance by the Purple Hulls. Here's a video where they were featured by Texas Country Reporter.
Then the Baker Family will perform. Here's a glimpse of their amazing bluegrass sound.
The Blake Brothers (From Shreveport) will perform after the Baker Family.
The concert will end with The Sabine River Bend Band who have been playing together since 2008.
Bluegrass, blueberries, and blue skies are in our future, and that's something to smile about. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm marking my calendar now.
