With their college degrees in hand, this year's young graduates are now looking for that long awaited and coveted "first job".  A lot of them are coming to Texas, because the Lone Star State offers them the most opportunities for jobs and success.

The Daily Beast has released its second annual ranking of the best cities for recent college graduates, and Texas has more cities on the list than any other state. Yes - life is good in Texas, and the world is noticing.

The report shows that many of America’s most livable cities for those seeking low rents, cheap eats, good job prospects, and decent pay are not the traditional destinations of New York City or Los Angeles. In fact, young people are leaving both those cities in droves because they have none of those qualities.

The top 25 "most liveable" cities have relatively low unemployment, high average salary per capita, a low cost of living, lots of rental housing units, and a large population between ages 22 and 24.

Based on those criteria, Austin is in 4th place, Houston is 5th, Dallas is 8th, Corpus Christi is 14th, and San Antonio in 23rd.

In case you're curious, Fayetteville, North Carolina placed number one in the nation.  The other two cities ahead of Austin are Omaha, Nebraska and Oklahoma City.
