Texas Blueberry Festival Set for Saturday in Nacogdoches

The 23rd annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Brookshire Brothers will be held Saturday in downtown Nacogdoches. This popular annual event is a day long celebration of the annual blueberry harvest.

Nacogdoches County is one of the leading blueberry producers in the state, and the annual harvest peaks in early summer.  The Blueberry Festival always attracts thousands of people to historic downtown Nacogdoches, where they find an array of activities to keep them entertained all day long.

Experienced and novice cooks submit their best recipes and prettiest plates for the blueberry pie, blueberry cobbler and blueberry ice cream contests.  Live musical entertainment will fill the air from stages located downtown and in Festival Plaza.

Proceeds from the Texas Blueberry Festival benefit the Nacogdoches County Chamber’s various community and business development programs.
